Redeemer Lutheran and St. Theodore
On Sunday, Dec. 28 the congregations of Redeemer Lutheran Church and St. Theodore of Canterbury Episcopal Church will celebrate the First Sunday of Christmas at the 10:30 a.m. holy Communion service at 13564 St. Andrews Drive; Rev. Murray Finck will preside. All are welcome to join.
The church poinsettia dedications will be included in the bulletin. People are welcome to join after the service for fellowship in the Fellowship Hall when December birthdays will be celebrated with coffee, tea, cookies and snacks.
The new 2026 Flower Chart is available for signups.
The office will be closed on New Year’s Eve, Thursday, Dec. 31.
The Bible study is currently on break and will return in the new year.
The Gospel lesson for the first Sunday of Christmas is from Matthew 2:13-23. The last Sunday of December is the gory part of the birth story including Mary and Joseph’s flight to Egypt, the massacre of infants, and the return from Egypt. These brief passages heard during Advent are some of the few mentions about Jesus’ earthly father. He is a man with great faith and trust in God.
