LA Times columnist to speak today
SENIORS FOR PEACE
Seniors for Peace will meet today, March 5, at 2 p.m., in Clubhouse 4. Note the location has changed to accommodate a larger attendance. This month’s guest speaker is award-winning author and Los Angeles Times columnist Gustavo Arellano, who will present his own point of view on immigration.
Arellano is author of “Orange County: A Personal History” and “Taco USA: How Mexican Food Conquered America.” He is a columnist for the Los Angeles Times, and has been an essayist and reporter for various publications, and a frequent commentator on radio and television. He was formerly an editor of OC Weekly, an alternative newspaper in Orange County and penned the award-winning “¡Ask a Mexican!,” a nationally-syndicated column in which he answered any and all questions about America’s largest minority. All are welcome to attend. Call Pat Kruger at 562-357-4040 for more information.
