Community Karaoke
Karaoke regular Bob Barnum sang an impassioned “Somewhere” to a full house of appreciative folks. Elizabeth Butterfield sang a smooth “Nice of You.”
People were entertained by Anna Le, Helen Schultz, Sally Glausser and Ric Dizon as they engaged the audience with their personality and emotion.
Nina Todorov did fine with a favorite number, “The Great Pretender.” Kathy Engelhardt captured the audience with “Maybe This Time” as did “Woman in Love” by Mariza Joaquin.
Richard Yokomi enjoyed singing a Willy Nelson top tune. Pat Paternoster and Bob Barnum paired up singing the catchy “Cecilia.” Another duet was fun for Susan Kelleghan and Vinny Correnti. Later in the evening, singing duets got fun and joyful for Essie Hicks, Kenny Notorleva, Anna Le, Tony Tupas, Walt Bier and Kyung Ju.
Karaoke is for everyone. The singers love to sing and the audience is engaged by listening to music that brings back memories.
The club meets in Clubhouse 1 each Wednesday night at 5:30. On Mondays, the club holds a short practice session upstairs in Clubhouse 6 from 1-3 p.m.
