Clubs selected for LW’s annual tree decorating contest

HOLIDAY SEASON

It’s that time of year when GRF clubs adopt a tree in one of the clubhouses to decorate for the annual Christmas tree decorating contest.

This year’s theme is “Christmas Around the World.” The clubs chosen to compete will deck out their tree to reflect either a particular country, culture or an international theme.

The following clubs have been chosen to adopt a tree:

• Clubhouse 1: Clay Crafters

• Clubhouse 2: Filipino Associa- tion of Leisure World (FALW)

• Clubhouse 3: Korean American Association

• Clubhouse 4: Lapidary and Jewelry Club

• Clubhouse 6: Hui O’ Hula Club The five brand-new trees will bedecoratedbyDec. 6atthelatest.

Trees will be judged by the following: creativity; reflection of contest theme; outstanding features; uniqueness of tree topper; and uniqueness of tree skirt.

The submissions will be judged by GRF directors and prizes awarded in these categories: • Judges’ Choice

• Most Beautiful

• Most Unique

• Best Theme Execution

• Most Effort
