How to spot email and text message scams

Join John Fuhrer, Leisure World resident and tech expert, owner of John’s Computer and TV Services, for an hour-long presentation on how to avoid “digital fraud” like email and text message scams at the Sunshine Club’s meeting on Friday, Oct. 31 in Clubhouse 3, Room 2 at 10 a.m.
With two decades dedicated to assisting seniors, Fuhrer has unique insight into the technological hurdles residents must navigate. He specializes in comprehensive support, including group and one-on-one training. Fuhrer’s full range of expertise covers computer setup, installation, maintenance and repair, as well as support for cell phones, tablets and Smart TV systems. He is also available to assist with internet networks, routers, and Wi-Fi setup. Following the presentation, Fuhrer will dedicate time to answer questions.
All residents are welcome. The Sunshine Club requires no membership fees but donations are welcome. People should arrive promptly. Those who are late to the meeting are asked to quietly use the backdoor so as not to disturb the presentation.
