Drug takeback is Saturday, Oct. 26

National Drug Takeback Day is Saturday, Oct. 26. Residents can drop off unused, expired and unwanted prescription drugs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Rush Park, 3021 Blume Drive, Rossmoor, CA, 90720, located 3 miles from Leisure World.

Medications left in home cabinets are highly vulnerable to diversion, misuse and abuse. Takeback events are a free, anonymous service that allows people to drop off medications with no questions asked. No liquids, needles or sharps are accepted.

In past years, the Seal Beach Police Department has held the event at the LW Globe, but SBPD is not participating in the fall takeback this year.

Those who cannot make it to Rush Park can drop off their used, expired or unwanted prescription drugs year-round at the CVS Pharmacy located at 921 Pacific Coast Hwy., Seal Beach, CA 90740, located 2 miles from Leisure World.
