Scrabble Club plays Wednesdays

The Leisure World Scrabble Club meets Wednesdays from 1-4 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 5. New members are welcome.

The club met on the first two Wednesdays in January. There were 18 scores higher than 300 and 14 bingos (i.e. the use of all seven tiles in one move).

Suthy Edgar led with eight bingos and three scores above 300. Her totals ranged from 276 in a three-way game—equivalent to a 414 in a two-way game—to 441. Diane Seeger topped 300 six times, with a range from 305 to 365.

Jim Schneiderman had three scores above 300 and four bingos. He scored 315 in a three-way game—equivalent to a 473 in a two-way game.

Larry Edgar played his 1000th two-way game as a club member. He had one bingo and a range of 355 to 378. Sue Ann Gass posted scores of 303 and 341. Sylvia Makus had a score of 305. Donna Perkins recorded one bingo.
