Accordion orchestra will perform Oct. 4

LIVE PERFORMANCE

The Los Angeles Accordionaires Pops Orchestra will perform Saturday, Oct. 4, from 2-4 p.m. in Clubhouse 4.

The event is free, but donations will be accepted at the door. Light refreshments will be served.

The orchestra will perform a program of classical, Broadway and pop music, with a 30-minute recess.

After, the group will feature two rising accordion stars: Peter Swason, 15, from Bakersfield and Rio Navarro, 16, from a La Canada Flintridge. Both boys recently received scholarships at the Cotati Accordion Festival.

The event was organized by Mutual 15 resident Dave Noferi, former president of the Los Angeles Accordionaires Club.

Orchestra members are traveling from across the Los Angeles area to perform for LW audiences, some as far away as Santa Barbara and Bakersfield.
