Air and Water service keeps residents safe with checks

Early morning on Sept. 13, the Rollin’ Thunder Golf Cart Club prepared for its final Air and Water Service of 2025, a free service for club members and Leisure World residents.

Volunteers quickly set up service lanes with bright orange cones, positioned distilled water bottles, and readied the air compressor for the day ahead. By 8:30 a.m., carts were already lining up.

As volunteers checked battery water levels compartments, several were found to be critically low on water—a condition that can severely damage battery cells. One grateful resident remarked, “This is a great service for us, because I don’t know where else we could get our carts checked like this.”

Meanwhile, the tire and air team inspected tire pressure and condition, advising residents when replacements were needed or simply making them aware of wear. The Rollin’ Thunder Club thanks its many volunteers who managed sign-ins, guided carts through service areas, kept workers hydrated, and fostered a warm, welcoming atmosphere the event was a smooth and successful community effort.
