Photo Arts Club

The Photo Arts Club will meet Jan. 8, in Clubhouse 3, Room 9, at 1:30 p.m. The club’s November and December meetings have been canceled due to holiday conflicts.

The January assignment is “our favorite three photos.” Members are invited to submit their favorite photos—any age, any subject matter.

Photographers should send their images to Ben Benjamins at benbenjamins@hotmail.com no later than Jan. 4. The club’s annual dues of $10 will be due at the January meeting.

At the November meeting, the club selected its officers. All current officers will continue for the next year: Regine Schumacher, president; Roger Bennett, vice president; Esther Cummings, secretary; and Sue Ann Gass, treasurer.

The November assignment was to photograph food. Photos were shown on the TV screen, and Benjamins discussed the importance of sharpness, color combination, composition and lighting.

Photographer Ziggy Romano will not hold his regular lessons on photo editing in November and December. The lessons are typically held on the fourth Thursday of the month in Clubhouse 3, Room 3. The next lesson will be held Jan. 22.
