The GRF Recreation Department is offering residents a cultural day trip to the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) in Long Beach on Wednesday, Nov. 19. Tickets are now on sale for this special outing, which includes round-trip transportation, museum admission, a guided tour, lunch and an exclusive behindthe- scenes experience.

The bus will leave from the Amphitheater parking lot at 9 a.m. and return at approximately 3 p.m. Upon arrival, participants will be welcomed with tea, coffee and biscuits in the museum lobby and greeted personally by MOLAA President and CEO Dr. Lourdes I. Ramos. Chief Curator Gabriela Urtiaga will lead a guided tour, introducing the group to highlights from the museum’s collection.

Midday, guests will enjoy a boxed lunch in the Sculpture Garden surrounded by greenery and outdoor artwork. The afternoon will feature a VIP tour offering a closer look at areas of the museum that are not open to the general public.

Tickets are $75 per person and include transportation, lunch and admission. They are available online at www.lwsb.com/specialevents or in person at the Recreation Office in the lower level of Building C. Payment can be made by cash, check, debit or credit card. A release form is required for each participant.

Online purchases include a 3.2% service fee, and in-person debit or credit card payments include a 2.3% service fee. There is no service fee for cash or check payments.

Seating is limited and demand is high, so early purchase is encouraged. For more information, contact the Recreation Department at Recreation.Department@lwsb.com or call 562-431-6586, ext. 2476.
