Don’t let strangers into your home
SECURITY NOTICE
The best way to keep strangers out of one’s home is to not let them inside in the first place. Residents should be wary of individuals offering unsolicited goods or services, especially if they want to gain entry into their home.
Sometimes, GRF employees will need to enter a person’s unit. For example, Security may enter a unit for a wellness check if no one answers the door. GRF inspectors also enter resident’s units during annual inspections, and Service Maintenance staff may need to enter a unit to conduct requested or emergency maintenance.
To verify that someone is a legitimate GRF employee, ask to see their employee badge. Employee badges feature the employee’s first and last name, picture, department and the GRF logo. Most are worn on an extendable clip or a GRFbranded lanyard.
Permanent and temporary GRF employees, contractors, Board members and event staff have identification badges similar to the one pictured above.
