5 questions to ask at annual checkups

The Long Beach/Lakewood Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America will have an informational meeting, with a Q& A session on Thursday, Aug. 14, from 4-5 p.m. at the Weingart Center, 5200 Oliva Ave., Lakewood, 90712.

Attendees will learn how the hearing loss affects cognitive skills and emotional well-being. The chapter meets on the second Thursday of every month. The meetings are captioned, free and open to the public. People can ask questions, find solutions, and learn about technology that makes living with hearing loss easier.
