Scrabble Club

The Leisure World Scrabble Club meets Wednesdays in Clubhouse 3, Room 5, from 1-4 p.m. New members are welcome. The club is mourning the loss of longtime member Wanda Bemben, who passed away in February.

The club met on the first two Wednesdays of April. There were 26 scores above 300, of which four were higher than 400. Also, there were 18 bingos.

Suthy Edgar led with six totals above 300 and eight bingos. Her best game was a 420. Diane Seeger and Larry Edgar each topped 300 five times. Seeger’s best total was a 394. She had one bingo. Edgar had two bingos and a high score of 439.

Jim Schneiderman bettered 300 three times, with a best score of 406 and three bingos. Myrna Loscuadro and Sue Ann Gass each had two totals above 300. Their top scores were 347 and 325, respectively. Loscuadro had three bingos.

Donna Perkins topped 300 twice, with a high score of 346. Sylvia Makus and Marilyn Moody posted respective scores of 395 and 334. Moody had one bingo.
