COMMUNITY CHURCH

Community Church will hold a concert featuring Gershwin brothers hits like ‘Embraceable You,’ ‘Fascinating Rhythm,’ ‘Someone to Watch Over Me,’ ‘S’Wonderful,’ ‘Summertime,’ and more, accompanied by their life stories and beautifully written by Grace Zangwill, on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 15, at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for seniors/students, $20 general, and as always free tickets are available for anyone who asks for them. All are welcome.

This week, Community Church will look at the story of Pentecost as told by the author of Luke and Acts. It is a dynamic story of transformation that is meant to fill people with hope, something that seems to be in short supply these days.

In the world today, so many who claim to follow Jesus have lost the love of God for them and for those around them. Community Church is a place where everyone is welcome, provided they are willing to be part of the community. It does not welcome hate, bigotry, sexism, or homophobia. All are welcome who are welcoming to all.

Residents are invited to come to “Coffee with the Pastor” on Thursdays at 10 a.m. This is an informal opportunity for those who want to meet Pastor Johan Dodge.

Community Church holds worship services on Sunday mornings at 9:50 at 14000 Church Place near St. Andrews Gate.

Pianist/vocalist John Fluker (l-r), alto Lisa Margaroli, soprano Jennifer Rudy, and bass Sean Gabel.
