LW Men’s Golf League

Eight golfers of the Leisure World Men’s Golf League challenged the Willowick Golf Course in Santa Ana on May 16.

Four golfers shot net at or below par. There were three birdies, all by Jim Goltra, who was also closest to the pin on the 140-yard par 3 fourth hole. Dave LaCascia was closest on the 140-yard par 3 12th. Gary Stivers, Fujio Norihiro and Bob Munn had fewest putts.

A flight winners: Goltra, 5 under 66, first place; Sam Choi, 1 under 70, second; LaCascia, 1 over 72, third; Norihiro and Stivers, fourth.

B flight winners: Dom Bautista, 2 under 69, first place; Bob Munn, 1 under 70, second; Bill McKusky, third.

On May 19, 12 members contested the par 70 River View Golf Course in Santa Ana.

Seven of the 12 golfers scored net at or under par. There were six birdies: three by Jim Goltra, and one each by Dave LaCascia, Fujio Norihiro and Kyle Van. Goltra had fewest putts in the A flight and Tom Ross had fewest in the B. Closest to the pin on the 140-yard par 3 second hole was Gary Stivers, and Norihiro was closest on the 100-yard par 3 ninth.

A flight winners: Goltra, 5 under 65, first place; Stivers, 3 under 67, second; LaCascia, Jae Choi and Kyle Van, even par 70, third; Norihiro and Sam Choi, fourth.

B flight winners: Ross, 5 under 65, first place; Dom Bautista, 2 under 68, second; Sergio Borbon and Bob Munn, third; Bill McKusky, fourth.
