After three years of collaborative and bold leadership, Golden Rain Foundation Executive Director Jessica Sedgwick has resigned to take the helm at an award-winning, 55-plus community in the Sacramento area.

“I am deeply grateful for Jessica’s dedication in bringing our community into the 21st century with her innovative ideas and positive improvements, as well as her inspirational leadership of our highly valued staff members,” said GRF President Janet Isom.

Sedgwickofficiallyannounced her resignation on May 7. She will assume the top spot at an active adult community, overseeing a staff of 200 that maintains a 3,000acre community of landscaped grounds, four restaurants, an 18-hole golf course, a spa, lodge, recreation centers, fitness centers, and club and activity groups.

Since arriving in Leisure World in June 2022, Sedgwick has managed transitions to new property management and finance software systems, a gate access program, online resident and guest management portals, a courtesy call center for residents, and heightened cybersecurity and technology protocols.

She created GRF’s first-ever, five-year strategic plan to ensure sustainable growth and enhance community assets. The 225-page book features key strategies to address anticipated challenges, including a capital projects overview.

She was known among staff as a transformational leader. Among her many attributes, she fostered departmental collaboration, bringing comprehensive expertise to GRF projects, priorities and events, with the goal of bettering the quality of life for LWSB residents.

Sedgwick will work through June 20 when her contract expires.
