Celebrate spring on May 6
WOMAN'S CLUB OF LEISURE WORLD
The Woman’s Club of Leisure World will meet on Tuesday, May 6, in Clubhouse 2. The theme will be “Spring Time” so members are encouraged to wear their best spring hat. The doors open at 1 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 1:30.
The philanthropic organization the club will make a donation to this month is the Precious Life Shelter. Precious Life Shelter, Inc. is a private, nonprofit, 501(c)3 agency with a local volunteer board of directors and over 200 volunteers in staffing and services. They provide emergency, transitional, and single parent efficiency programs in a safe, secure environment for pregnant woman with no place to live.
In addition to the check the Woman’s Club will present, members may make a monetary donation (cash or check), donate new 0-3 and 3-6 month baby clothes (boys are most needed now), teething rings, dreft laundry soap, diapers/wipes, blankets and gift cards/ certificates to be used directly by their clients.
The entertainment will be provided by DD James. With over 25 years as a soft-rock entertainer, he will perform live acoustic guitar/vocals from a variety of genres.
