Garden plots available now

Michael Oh of Mutual 1 has had a raised bed garden in the Leisure World Community Garden since last June and has grown lettuce, tomatoes, red peppers, sesame seed leaves, and is now waiting to get spinach to grow big enough to pick. Green onions were recently added to save a trip to the grocery store. Oh enjoys being there to watch the produce grow and to greet other farmers.

Lots are available for immediate lease at the Community Gardens. Would-be gardeners can visit the Leisure World website, www.lwsb.com, to sign up. Find the Community tab, then choose Community Garden Waitlist and complete the online form.
