Community Karaoke Club
The Community Karaoke Club’s Feb. 12 karaoke party was packed with energy as members celebrated Valentine’s Day. Chocolate covered strawberries were a surprise treat that participants enjoyed along with a variety of music. Richard Yokomi kicked off the night with “For the Good Times.” Frank Miller sang the old hit “Dream Lover.” “Love’s Been Good to Me” was a good choice for Donald Horning. Petite Flo Lee sang a powerful “Love Me with All Your Heart.” “I Got You Babe” was a perfect duet by Ron Belben and Margie Stewart. Julie Nulad sang a swinging Bobby Darin tune. Nina Todorov, with lots of pep, sang “My Melody of Love.” Dotti Brooks nodded to the weather with the Beatles song “Rain,” as did Karen Morris “Rainy Night in Georgia.” Lucille Fitch doesn’t sing but joins the social evenings with her family and the friends she’s met at the karaoke parties. The club holds karaoke rehearsals each Monday from 1-3 p.m. in Clubhouse 6. All are welcome to join fast-paced karaoke in Clubhouse 1 each Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
