Fashion show has plenty of prizes
AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY
The American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) annual fashion show, luncheon and prize drawing will be held on March 8 in Clubhouse 2 with doors opening at 11 a.m. The show will feature A Touch of Fashion by L.A; and Carol’s. L.A. loves fashion and her passion for creating a special look for women to feel stunning is always evident in her fashion shows and pop ups. Creating a better world for women, one outfit at a time, is her motto.
Carol’s will have her unique style of clothing with lots of sparkle. Both of them will also have clothing to peruse in the lobby.
A pasta bar will be served by Love At First Bite with assistance from the Naval Sea Cadets.
There has been wonderful response from local businesses with many options of theater tickets, entertainment, restaurants, grocery cards and gift baskets to try and win.
With community support, ALA been able to provide scholarships and much needed assistance to veterans through the programs at the VA Hospital in Long Beach. At Christmas, toys and clothing were given to the Naval Weapons Station, Joint Forces Air Base and other local organizations for veterans and their families. ALA also sponsored three grateful Adopt-a-Family recipients with food, gifts and clothing. ALA appreciates past and continued support to serve veterans.
For show reservations call Jean Sudbeck at 562-594-0209. Tickets are $45 and proceeds go to veterans.
