Learn how to save on healthcare costs

The fund will hold a meeting with Nancy Genter of JAR Insurance on Monday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9, on different ways seniors may be able to save on their Medicare and overall healthcare costs. She’ll also cover programs such as Medicare Savings Programs and Extra Help, which can help eligible individuals with Medicare premiums, prescription drug costs and other healthcare expenses.

Genter has been partnering with the LW Cares Fund to help low-income residents apply for Medi-Cal, which has saved them $203 per month in Medicare premiums. She helps residents at all income levels not miss out on opportunities included in their current plans and makes sure their Medicare Part D medication plan best matches their particular prescription needs.
