Leisure World needs to be a smoke-free community. Establishing smoke-free policies for condo porches and inside units is crucial for promoting health and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
Such regulations are becoming commonplace and help to reduce exposure to secondhand smoke, which is known to pose significant health risks, particularly to vulnerable populations such as Leisure World and individuals with respiratory conditions.
Additionally, smoke-free environments contribute to cleaner air and reduce the likelihood of fire hazards associated with smoking. By fostering a healthier living and recreational environment, these policies can also encourage a sense of community and well-being among residents and, ultimately leading to a more pleasant and safe atmosphere. But the community is not entirely smoke free as rules vary among the 16 Mutuals.
