With the Shuffleboard Club fall league now underway, the 10 captains each face the massive task of organizing 16 games for the season, with a minimum of six players paired to play the opposing team’s players with approximately the same win average for the season.

Because club members are responsible for sweeping and rolling wax onto the courts prior to each set of games, plus bringing snacks for the weekly competitions, and then cleaning all the courts after the games, captains play a significant role, ensuring that all of the required tasks are completed. To be sure, often the captains do more than their fair share of the set-up and clean-up tasks.

Without the volunteer captains, there would not be the exciting, competitive club that is summarized, simply, as the LW Shuffleboard Club. The club thanks all 10 of the captains for what they do.
