The following is the Security incident report for the month of May. It has been edited for brevity and clarity.

FIRE: 3

•May 5, 11:51 p.m., Mutual 6

A resident burned food. There was no damage to the unit, only smoke.

•May 12, 3:27 p.m., Mutual 11

A fire alarm created a false alarm; there was no smoke or fire.

•May 13, 3:36 p.m., Mutual 5

A resident stated she smelled smoke. Fire authorities did not find smoke or fire.

VANDALISM: 1

•May 28, 5:23 p.m., Mutual 8

A resident found her tire punctured by a pencil.

MISDEMEANOR THEFT (under $950): 10

• May 1, 12:55 p.m., Mutual 14

A resident reported chimes missing from the patio area.

• May 2, 8:35 a.m., Clubhouse 2

Seventy-two hot dogs for American Legion’s event were reported missing.

•May 2, 10:55 a.m., Mutual 2

Political yard signs were reported missing.

•May 9, 9:16 a.m., Mutual 1

A resident reported multiple items missing from his vehicle; there was no sign of forced entry.

•May 11, 6:02 p.m., Clubhouse 2

A resident reported soda that was saved for an event missing.

•May 13, 1:03 p.m., Gym

A resident reported the wallet she placed in a locker at the gym was missing.

•May 14, 2:09 p.m., Mutual 15

A resident reported her hose missing.

•May 15, 8:34 p.m., Mutual 2

A resident reported a box of coffee, coconut oil and a bottle of castor oil were missing.

• May 22, 11:48 a.m., Mutual 12

A resident reported her watering system was missing. She found it on May 24.

A resident reported the RFID and decal missing from their vehicle.

FELONY THEFT (over $950): 1

•May 6, 7:15 a.m., Mutual 2

A resident stated someone came into his unit and took his phone in the middle of the night. He called Security later to say he found his phone.

NOISE COMPLAINTS: 14

• May 2, 2:27 p.m., Clubhouse 1

A resident reported loud noise coming from another area during a memorial service. The volume was reduced.

•May 2, 10:03 p.m., Mutual 12

A resident reported the neighbor’s loud TV. The TV volume was reduced.

•May 2, 5:26 p.m., Mutual 10

A resident complained of noise from neighboring unit. No noise detected at the scene.

•May 8, 10:17 p.m., Mutual 10

A resident reported noise from neighboring unit; no noise detected at the scene.

A resident complained of noise coming from a neighboring unit. No noise detected at the scene.

A resident complained of loud TV noise. Security spoke to the neighbor, who reduced the volume.

A resident drove through the entry and struck a barrel stop sign.

•May 10, 6:35 p.m., Main Entry Gate A resident struck the rear bumper of a visitor’s vehicle while entering the community.

•May 19, 12:58 p.m., Oakmont Road and Fairfield Lane Residents cars collided at the intersection.

•May 20, 10:52 a.m., Mutual 1

A resident struck a parked vehicle and carport pillar and was transported to the hospital.

•May 24, 3:21 p.m.,16831 St. Andrews Drive A resident struck a parked vehicle while driving.

PET ISSUES: 7

A resident reported a barking dog; no barking heard.

•May 11, 9:19 a.m., Mutual 8

A resident reported an off leash dog. Security spoke to the dog’s owner about the rules, and the owner apologized and took the dog inside.

•May 13, 3:14 p.m., Mutual 15

A resident reported a barking dog. Security spoke to the owner.

• May 13, 5:54 p.m., Mutual 11

A resident reported a barking dog; no barking heard.

•May 15, 4:34 p.m., Mutual 1

A resident stated a dog bit her ankle. Security spoke to the owner. The injured resident did not require transportation.

A resident’s caregiver reported the resident’s dog missing.

A coyote attacked a dog. The deceased dog was removed by Animal Control.

The daughter of a resident attempted to enter the community without permission. Daughter left when police were called.

A resident and a Mutual president were in a dispute.

A resident stated a neighbor was releasing sonic booms into her residence.

A resident complained about a neighbor’s cigarette smoke.

Construction workers were working on a weekend.

A restricted guest was refused entry and abused staff. Police were called to keep the peace.
