Photo Arts Club

The Photo Arts Club will meet June 11 in Clubhouse 3, Room 9, at 1:30 p.m. The assignment is to photograph in black and white or sepia tones. Members should submit their favorite three photos via email to benbenjamins@hotmail.com by June 8.

Ziggy Romano will teach editing techniques on Snapseed today, May 28, in Clubhouse 3, Room 3 at 1:30 p.m., and answer photo and camera-related questions. The assignment is to take photos from a low angle shooting upwards.

At the May meeting, President Regine Schumacher shared that a member of the video club would like to donate two cameras. Those interested should contact Benjamins for contact information.

Les Coombes showed a photo of two penguins that seemed to be having a conversation with each other, and another photo depicting penguins diving into the water.

Benjamins showed photos of hands, which was the assignment for May, as well as photos that were taken at Rancho Los Alamitos during the club’s field trip in April.

To finish the photo portion of the meeting, Benjamins displaced photos taken with three different cameras and one taken with an iPhone and invited members to guess which ones were taken with a camera. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call Regine Schumacher at 562-430-7978.
