Leisure World Pool Club

The Leisure World Pool Club straight pool league completed week three of a 20-game regular season with some upset match wins. And it was the women’s turn to shine. Jennifer Spindler, Teri Nugent, Layla Barr and Connie Terry each were victorious over top club players. Connie Adkins also played a great match, coming up just short against Brian Burke, 30-28. Bruce Pettys, Ruffy Ramos, Phouc Tran and Rusty Aquino remain undefeated at 3-0 and complete a logjam at the top of the standings.

The club will hold its popular annual members thank you picnic on Saturday, Aug. 29 at Mission Park, behind Clubhouse 2.
