Assembly of God
Palm Sunday marks the day Jesus entered Jerusalem, accompanied by shouts of praise. As the people sang and celebrated, Luke records Jesus’ weeping over the people of Jerusalem. They were missing the true purpose of his coming. The freedom Jesus offered was far greater than the political change the people thought they needed. Pastor Chuck Franco will deliver a sermon from Luke 19:28-44 titled “No One Like Our King,” on Sunday, March 29, at 10:30 a.m. in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby. All LW residents and friends are welcome to attend LW assembly of God’s Good Friday service on April 3, at noon, in Clubhouse 4, with musical guests Johnny and Ruth Larring and a message.
The Wednesday Bible study wrapped up Francis Chan’s series on the Book of James. Contemporary Christians are still dealing with the issues experienced by the early church, demonstrating that willpower alone cannot change one’s heart. The transforming power of Christ, at work in the believer’s life, accompanied by the mercy and grace of God, is the answer.
The Wednesday Bible study is at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2.
