Community Church

Community Church will continue in its “Season of Creation” series with a look at the “creepy things” on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 9:30 a.m. at 14000 Church Place.

Halloween is just around the corner. Halloween comes from the “eve of all hallows,” or “All-Hallows-Eve,” and is the night before All Saints Day in the church. Community Church has a tradition of honoring those who have passed in the last year with the reading of names while a candle is lit and a bell is rung. Those who have lost loved ones this past year and want to participate in remembering them should submit their loved ones’ names by Sunday, Oct. 25. That service will conclude the “Season of Creation” series.

People can also join the Community Church Leisure World Facebook page to watch past sermons. Call 562-431-2503 for more information.
