LW Cares Fund Board will meet Oct. 8
The Leisure World Cares Fund Board will meet on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 1:30 p.m. in Building 5, Conference Room B. All are welcome to attend. During the meeting, the board will discuss:
• Updates on applications for aid and efforts to promote awareness.
• Reports on client assessment experiences and input for improvement.
• Donor engagement progress and outreach efforts.
• Letters of gratitude from recent awardees. The fund will hold a meeting with Nancy Genter of JAR Insurance on Monday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9, on different ways seniors may be able to save on their Medicare and overall healthcare costs. She’ll also cover programs such as Medicare Savings Programs and Extra Help, which may help eligible individuals with Medicare premiums, prescription drug costs and other healthcare expenses.
Qualified applicants are awarded up to $200 per month for a 12 month period. The awards will be renewable after an annual review. All application material is held in strict confidence. People can receive help filling out the application or have the forms will picked up or dropped off at their unit.
