Join the memorial pier walk on Saturday, Oct. 3

SEAL BEACH

Everyone is welcome to come together for a morning of remembrance, hope and support at the Pier Memory Walk on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 8 a.m.-noon. The City of Seal Beach in partnership with The Pink Journey Foundation, Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce and Leisure World and Seal Beach Lions Club is proud to bring this community together to honor those impacted by breast cancer “The Pier Memory Walk is designed to be a meaningful and reflective experience while allowing participants to take part at their own pace,” said Jennifer Robles, management analyst of the City of Seal Beach.

The walk extends from one end of the Seal Beach Pier to the other, approximately a quarter mile. Participants can walk once or continue looping the pier as many times as they would like until noon.

At the end of the pier, participants will encounter three stations. The first will offer an opportunity to ring a bell in celebration of a survivor or in remembrance of a loved one. The Seal Beach Lions Club will also sell finger bells as a fundraiser, for participants to show their support. The event will include community resources, entertainment by Nashville on the Coast and raffles. Registration is free. People are welcome to walk individually or create a team. Voluntary donations and team fundraising will benefit The Pink Journey Foundation.
