Scrabble Club plays Wednesdays in CH 3, Room 5

The Leisure World Scrabble Club meets each Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 5. New members of all levels of experience are welcome.

The club met on July 22, 29 and Aug. 5. There were 24 scores above 300 and 24 bingos (i.e. the use of all seven tiles in one move). While the scores listed are all substantial, there were also some that were considerably lower.

Diane Seeger and Suthy Edgar led with seven wins and 10 bingos, respectively. Seeger had a range from 325-409, with four bingos. Also, she had a score of 275 in a three-way game (equivalent to a 413 in a two-way game). Edgar had a range from 332-455.

Jim Schneiderman and Larry Edgar each had four totals above 300. Schneiderman had four bingos and a range from 332-395. Larry Edgar had two bingos and a range of 345-405. Sue Ann Gass posted scores of 304 and 330. Sylvia Makus and Donna Perkins recorded totals of 307 and 303, respectively.
