Ben Wong donates to Council

EMERGENCY INFORMATION COUNCIL

The Leisure World Emergency Information Council (EIC) gratefully acknowledges a generous financial donation from the Seal Beach District 2 Council Member Ben Wong. The donation is among those provided by Council Member Wong’s District 2 Discretionary Fund and reflects his longstanding commitment to charitable causes within Leisure World such as the Emergency Information Council. The EIC is a local charity and an umbrella organization that funds and coordinates emergency response planning and actions among clubs and residents of Leisure World. Boots on Ground is one such initiative.

Jackie Dunagan, president of the EIC, accepted the donation from Council Member Wong, who is also mayor pro-tem for the city. She noted how the council would use the funding to support the various emergency preparedness initiatives now being sponsored by the EIC. All are welcome to become a member of the EIC.
