Work expected to last one month; parking will be impacted

Starting today, May 14, Fontaine Roofing will begin reroofing Clubhouse 6, which will last approximately one month. A portion of the Clubhouse 6 parking lot will be closed for the duration of the project in order to stage a temporary construction yard for materials, cranes and roofing demolition supplies. “No Parking” and detour signs will be posted prior to the closure.

On May 11-12, HVAC contractor Greenwood Heating & Air Inc. installed temporary air conditioning for the first and second floor of the clubhouse— which houses the Hospitality Center, Fitness Center and table tennis area.

The roof has reached the end of its useful life, according to the Reserve Study. The GRF Board approved the project on Feb. 24.

The 12 HVAC units that serve the building were removed on May 11 to allow crews uninterrupted access to the roof during the project. They will be reinstalled once the reroofing is completed.

People should exercise caution in the area, and inside of Clubhouse 6 as crews and heavy machinery will be present. Drivers should follow all posted detour signage.
