Poolathon coming in May
LW POOL CLUB
In May the LW Pool Club will play its annual Poolathon. This will be the only time all year one pocket is played in competition. One pocket is one of the games played in professional tournaments but is rarely played in Leisure World. As the name implies, a player must make all their balls in one pocket. One pocket is different in that it requires more defensive skills and frequent bank shots.
The Monday pool league has finished 10 weeks of a 15week schedule. The second place Bees beat the first-place Tumbleweeds 9-4 to trim their lead to six games. Gary Monahan led the Bees with six wins and won both of his singles. Teammate Jennifer Spindler won five games.
