The Golden Age Foundation (GAF) demonstrated its ongoing commitment to the well-being of the Leisure World community by awarding Pathways a renewed $25,000 grant. This marks another year of support dedicated to strengthening essential services that help older adults remain safe, supported, and engaged within the community.

Pathways serves as a core component of Leisure World’s social services team led by GRF Member Resource Liaison Robann Arshat. Together, this collaborative team provides free, in-home case management and personalized support, addressing the unique needs of Leisure World residents and ensuring they have access to the resources necessary to thrive.

“We’re deeply grateful for the Golden Age Foundation’s continued investment in our work,” said Kaitlin Wood, social worker and program manager for Pathways. “This renewed grant ensures that every Leisure World resident can count on consistent, compassionate care—especially during times when support matters most.”

Pathways offers a comprehensive range of programs, including in-home care navigation and case management, on-site bereavement groups, volunteer support services, and hospice care guidance. Each program is designed to support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of Leisure World shareholders. The renewed grant will allow Pathways to strengthen existing services, expand outreach efforts, and continue responding to the evolving needs of the community. For more information on Pathways’ services or how to volunteer, contact Pathways at 562-531-3031.

Since 2019, the GAF, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has been a steadfast supporter of Pathways. The GAF’s mission “to make the community a better and happier place in which to live” aligns closely with Pathways’ vision of empowering older adults to age safely, independently, and with dignity.
