Putting contest ticket sales begin on April 14

LW WOMEN'S GOLF CLUB

The LW Woman’s Golf Club will hold its second annual putting contest on Tuesday, June 30, at 7:45 a.m. at the Turtle Lake Golf Course. The event is open to all Leisure World residents. Membership in a golf club is not required. The entry fee is $10. Tickets go on sale April 14.

The contest is limited to 60 players. First, second and third place winners will be awarded prizes of $100, $75 and $25, respectively. The entry fee includes one raffle ticket for a chance to win a $50 Roger Dunn gift card and a gift basket from event sponsor Gasper Monteer Realty Group. For more information, text 714-469-8160.

March 24 brought 37 women to the weekly tournament. Play for the day was low gross, low net and chip-ins.

A flight winners: Linda Herman and CeCe Feltman 26, low gross; Veronica Chang, 24, low net; Clara Suh, No. 7, chip ins.

B flight winners: Sandy Kim, 29, low gross; Judy Kim, 24, low net; Sandy Kim, No. 7, chip ins.

C flight winners: Alison Kim, 30, low gross; Jane Song, 23, low net; Alison Kim, No. 3; Sue Sloan, 3; Kyung Kim, 2; Sally Park, 4, chip ins.

D flight winners: Janell Hiebert, 32, low gross; Janet Borden, 21, low net; Sue Yokomi, No. 6, chip ins.

The members meeting will be held on April 7 from 2-4 p.m., in Clubhouse 3. Winners of the spring tournament will be announced during the meeting. Yearly dues are $30.
