Shuffleboard Club Ham Shoot is coming April 8

The Shuffleboard Club sends a big shout out to all the folks who helped make the St. Patrick’s Day potluck a successful event, including Jack O’Brien for cooking his special corned beef; Sally Fowler for the festive decorations with help from Roger Bennett; Ellie West and Doris Morton and all the little leprechaun helpers for hosting the event; Barbara and Bob Ponegalek for their contributions to the opportunity drawing, and Rod Osgood for his talented woodworking skills. The evening was concluded with some games of St. Patrick’s Day bingo, with pots of gold prizes.

The annual Ham Shoot tournament on April 8 is next on the fun meter. Spring league starts April 7 for the Tuesday night crowd, and April 10 for the Friday morning early risers.

Tuesday, March 10 league results: Team Sally and Team Jesus tied 5-5 and Team Sue overtook Team Bob 9-3. All game winners were Sally Fowler, Lynn Baidack, Judy Hulin, Jesus Sosa, Sandy Derouin, Susie Kim, Susan McKaig and Sue Burkschab. The Tuesday winter league team with the most wins was Team Sally.

Thursday, March 12 league results: Team Lynne outdid Team Jack 7-5. All game winners were Lynne Haines and Teri James. The Thursday winter league team with the most wins was Team Jack.

Friday, March 13 league results: Team Rod edged out Team Patti 7-5. All game winners were Anita Giroud and Hoan Lekhac. The Friday winter league team with the most wins was Team Patti.
