LW Men’s Golf League

With all the hype about the hot weather, 15 golfers of the LW Men’s Golf League were surprised to be greeted with fog and dampness at the River View Golf Course on March 16.

Fourteen of the golfers shot net at or under par— with some really low scores. There were five birdies—one each by Jim Goltra, Dave LaCascia, Larry Hillhouse, Sam Choi and Jae Choi.

Closest to the pin on the 140yard par 3 second hole was Jae Choi, and on the 100-yard ninth hole was Hillhouse. Goltra and Jae Choi had fewest putts for the A flight, and Mike Jimenez and Randy Massaro had fewest in the B.

A flight winners: Goltra, first place; Hillhouse, second; Gary Stivers and Sam Choi, third; LaCascia, fourth; Kyle Van, fifth; Clay Fischer and Seon Kim, sixth; Jae Choi, seventh; Fujio Norihiro, eighth.

B flight winners: Massaro, first place; Won Park, second; Bruno Santillo, third; Jimenez, fourth; Tom Ross, fifth.

The league plays every Monday at four local courses, all within 15-20 minutes of Leisure World. Advance league reservations are required with a sign-up sheet available at each round.
