Sunshine Club

The Sunshine Club will host Detective Kendra Owen from the Seal Beach Police Department on Friday, March 20, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 10 a.m.

Detective Owen has been a police officer for 16 years. She has worked on the Community Oriented Police Team for the past four years, and as a school resource officer, homeless liaison officer and patrol.

Owen worked investigations at her previous agency for three years investigating all crimes, some of which included burglary, robbery, sexual assaults, theft, forgery and fraud and crimes against persons. Owen was recently selected for the Seal Beach Police Department Investigations Bureau, where she investigates and crimes related to the Leisure World community, among other tasks.

People should arrive to the meeting on time. Those who are late should quietly use the backdoor so as not to disturb the presentation. For more information about the club, contact Anna
