LW Men’s Golf League

Meadowlark Golf Course was the venue for 15 golfers of the LW Men’s Golf League on March 9.

With only a few course challenges, the golfers hoped that scoring would be good, and 12 of the 15 players obliged and shot net at or under par. There were six birdies—three by Jim Goltra and one each by Clay Fischer, Won Park and Bruno Santillo.

Closest to the pin on the 140-yard par 3, all over water seventh hole, was Kyle Van, and on the 150-yard, into the wind 12th hole, was Jae Choi. Jae Choi had fewest putts for the A flight, and Tom Ross had fewest in the B.

Net score equals gross minus handicap.

A flight winners: Goltra and Van, 4 under, first place; Sam Choi, 3 under, second; Fischer, Jae Choi, Fujio Norihiro and Larry Hillhouse, 1 under, third; Gary Stivers, fourth.

B flight winners: Tom Ross and Won Park, 6 under, first place; Bob Munn and Mike Jimenez, 5 under, second; Randy Massaro, 4 under, third; Scott Slade, fourth; Santillo, fifth.

The league plays every Monday at four local courses. Advanced reservations are required with a sign-up sheet available at each round.
