LW Humanist Association

The LW Humanist Association will meet on Sunday, April 5, In Clubhouse 3, Room 1, at 10:30 a.m. Club President Dave Silva will be the featured speaker. Silva will give a Powerpoint presentation on Scientology.

Scientology started out as a self-help program in May 1950, when L. Ron Hubbard published “Dianetics: The Evolution of a Science. In 1953, under Hubbard’s leadership and writing, Scientology became a religion. It has always been controversial, both as a religion and as a self-help program. Silva has never been a Scientologist, but has read much of what Hubbard wrote, including three books on Scientology. Everyone is welcome and there will be a discussion period after the presentation.
