LW Men’s Golf League

The LW Men’s Golf League played at the David L. Baker Executive Golf Course on March 2. With minor course challenges, it was anticipated that most golfers would score well, and 11 of the 16 players did shoot net at or under par. There were four birdies—one each by Clay Fischer, Chris Lankford, Larry Hillhouse and Won Park.

Closest to the pin on the 110-yard par 3 third hole was Seon Kim, and on the 140-yard 12th hole it was Gary Stivers. Fisher had fewest putts for the A flight, and Ron Jackson had fewest in the B. A special closest to the pin was instituted this week on the 110-yard 10th and Hillhouse took the prize.

A flight winners: Stivers, first place; Fischer and Kim, second; Jim Goltra and Hillhouse, third; Sam Choi and Steve Earl, fourth; Fujio Norihiro and Lankford, fifth.

B flight winners: Park, first place; Jackson and Bruno Santillo, second; Tom Ross, third; Bob Munn, fourth; Randy Massaro and Gene Vesely, fifth.

The league plays every Monday at four local courses. Advance league reservations are required.
