Join the Wa-Rite community for a healthy change and support
Wa-Rite is afemale-onlyclub that meets on Friday mornings from 9 -10 in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. Weigh-ins are from 8-8:45.
Dues are $ 10 a year, plus 10 cents upon signing in. LW ID cards must be shown. For support on a weight-loss journey, women are welcome to stop by at 8:15 to weigh in and complete the registration paperwork.
On Feb. 27, members learned that the club lost 15 pounds in the past week. The biggest loser was Joy Nasser with 4-pound loss. She also reached her shortterm goal earning $10. She was excited to break her plateau after staying the same weight last week and was encouraged to go to the gym to workout.
In addition to the clubs share day, Judy Chambers talked about foods that fight the flu. They are sweet potatoes, berries, beans, nuts and seeds, fermented dairy products, salmon and garlic.
The weekly food for thought was: “At Wa-Rite, I am surrounded by positive and supportive energy.”
