Assembly of God

Common wisdom is often the most applicable. Will Rogers said, “Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.” The wisdom in James 3 is not what one might obtain from study or discourse. It does not demand attention or respect, but is marked by humility and living honorably. Pastor Chuck Franco continues the study in James with a sermon titled “True Wisdom.”

Bible study continues in Francis Chan’s series in James 5:1-6. James addresses people’s tendency to rely on their secular accomplishments as a measure of success in their spiritual life. James warns believers to evaluate their motivations and methods of gaining that success, and what the collateral cost was to others as they pursued their own gain.
