Photo Arts Club assignment is to photograph architecture

The Photo Arts Club is planning a field trip to Rancho Los Alamitos. President Regine Schumacher will announce the details at the club’s March 12 meeting in Clubhouse 3, Room 9, at 1:30 p.m.

The February assignment was to photograph storefronts. Many interesting photos were shown and discussed. Ben Benjamins displayed photos with various mats to indicate how a mat can enhance a photo. Les Coombes presented two photos of a penguin against a huge icy backdrop that he took during a recent trip to the Antarctic.

The March assignment is to photograph architecture. At least part of the photo should be very sharp. Benjamins suggested that a person dressed in red might enhance the photo. Ziggy Romano mentioned that a photo of architecture in black and white might bring out details.

Photographers should send their three best photos via email to benbenjamins@hotmail.com by March 9. People can also bring photos of their choice to be displayed and commented on.
