Shuf. eboard Club Valentine’s Day potluck scheduled for Feb. 13 in Clubhouse 3, Rm 1

ShuffleboardClubmembers and guests will be able to celebrate Valentine’s Day on both Friday, Feb. 13 and the actual holiday on Saturday, Feb. 14. The club potluck to celebrate love and friendship is Friday, Feb. 13, at 5 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. Heading up the event committee are Susan Hopewell, Lynn Baidack, Donna Perkins and Sally Fowler, as master decorator, adorning the room with theme-based centerpieces along with hearts, flowers and other pink and red reminders of this beloved holiday. Hopewell says they have a few surprises in store for those in attendance and reminds people to bring their usual 12 quarters and $3 to play the Left, Right, Center game. She also suggests people wear festive attire. Signup sheets for attending and bringing food are available at the court building.

There will be a general membership meeting on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 1. Anyone interested in joining the club or with membership questions should contact Membership Chair Patty Peterson at 562-714-7072.

Thursday afternoon league member Randi Allen deserves a shout out for earning a score of 75 points in her second game on Jan. 22. She plays on Micki Aiello’s team.

Tuesday evening, Jan. 20 results: Team Bob and Team Jesus tied their scores 6-6 while Team Sally substantially won over Team Sue 9-3. All-game winners were Sally Fowler, Susie Kim, Sal LaScala, Harold Morehead, Mark Scott and Jesus Sosa.

Thursday afternoon, Jan. 22 results: Team Lynne and Team Micki had identical scores. All-game winners were Lynne Haines and Judy Hulin.

Friday morning, Jan. 23 results: Team Patti bettered Team Shel 8-4. All-game winners were Vivian Ceballos, Sally Fowler, Anita Giroud and Shel Magnuson.
