Chris Kluwe, candidate for the California State Assembly District 72, will be the guest speaker for the LW Democratic Club’s membership meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2.
Kluwe, a former NFL punter and prominent civil rights advocate, will discuss his 2026 legislative platform and his commitment to protecting public institutions. Known for his recent advocacy regarding First Amendment rights and library autonomy in Huntington Beach, Kluwe will address key issues facing the 72nd District and the broader California landscape. Following his presentation, there will be an opportunity for a question-and-answer session. Members and guests are invited to arrive as early as 12:45 p.m. to socialize; light refreshments will be provided.
The Democratic Hospitality Booth is open the first Tuesday and third Thursday of each month outside Clubhouse 6 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Members are invited to join the club’s lunch bunch at Hof ’s Hut off Seal Beach Boulevard at 11:30 a.m. on the first Wednesdays of each month. The next lunch will be Feb. 4. For more information, email Debbie Wrathall at Debbiewrathall@mac.com.
The next Voter Education session will meet Feb. 11 at 10:30 a.m., in Clubhouse 3, Room 3, to make postcards and call representatives.
