The GRF Security Department received five reports of theft and attempted theft on Jan. 7 from residents in Mutuals 4, 5, 6, and 7. Most incidents involved items taken from vehicle glove compartments or vehicles that were left unlocked.

The reports were received between 9:38 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. At this time, it is unknown whether the incidents are related. No suspects were apprehended, and the Seal Beach Police Department has been notified.

The first report involved a resident in Mutual 7 who discovered that three pairs of designer sunglasses were missing from her vehicle. The resident’s husband noticed the vehicle doors were slightly open as he left for work.
