• A Mutual 7 resident reported that her unlocked vehicle was entered, and items were removed from the glove compartment, including insurance and registration documents.
• A Mutual 5 resident reported the theft of collectible stamps valued at approximately $3,500 from a storage box located in front of her patio.
• A Mutual 6 resident reported a pair of designer sunglasses, valued at approximately $200, missing from her glove compartment. The vehicle door was found open.
• A Mutual 7 resident reported that her vehicle was entered, though no items were taken. The glove compartment contents were disturbed, and the doors were left open.
• On Jan. 8, a Mutual 4 resident reported that a pair of RayBan sunglasses valued at $300 was stolen from her vehicle. The same day, a Mutual 7 resident reported that her vehicle was vandalized, and a coin purse containing $40 was stolen.
• On Jan. 9, a Mutual 12 resident reported that several kayak parts and keys to their kayak, valued at $700, were stolen from the vehicle, which was parked in their carport.
GRF Security Director Victor Rocha reminds residents that these incidents highlight the importance of securing vehicles and personal property at all times. Residents are encouraged to lock their vehicles, remove valuables and ensure no items are left in plain view that could invite theft. As always, report any suspicious activity promptly.
